"Deputy Dogs" kick-off event!

On Saturday, April 13th, 2019, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Bell Tower in Fort Myers, Sheriff Carmine Marceno and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a kick-off event for their newest program, “Deputy Dogs”.

The “Deputy Dogs” program was created by Sheriff Marceno specifically for the residents of Lee County. The program encourages Lee County residents to be an extra set of “eyes, ears and noses" for the Lee County Sheriff’s Office while doing a routine activity, such as walking a pet.

The kick-off event will have various activities and meet-and-greets including a guest appearance from B103.9’s Big Mama and a visit from Megan O’Grady from Blue Line Bears. Additionally, there will be photo opportunities with Sheriff Marceno and the agency’s newest recruits: Lieutenant Bosco and Deputy Chance! Attendees will also be able to register their pets to be a part of Southwest Florida’s most elite pets on patrol task force.

Come to Bell Tower this Saturday to register for “Deputy Dogs”, and don’t fur-get to bring your pet!
